Junior or Intermediate Piping Designer
|
MG Engineering Inc. (MG) is looking for a qualified Junior or Intermediate Mechanical/Piping Designer to join our highly experienced, multi-discipline engineering team. This full-time position is located in MG’s downtown Vancouver office.
Key responsibilities include: ● Detailed mechanical and piping design for mining, pulp and paper mills, chemical plants and heavy industrial applications.
● Preparation of piping isometrics and material take-offs.
● Development of plant and equipment layout drawings.
● Short-term travel to project sites.
Qualifications and experience requirements include:
● An engineering technology diploma or computer assisted drafting certificate..
● A minimum of 2-5 (Junior) or 5-10 (Intermediate) years of industrial mechanical and/or piping drafting and design experience.
● Proficiency with AutoCAD 2004 (or higher)
● The ability to read mechanical, piping, structural, and process drawings/sketches with supervision provided by senior staff.
● Effective communication skills and the ability to liaise with team members and clients.
● Enthusiasm, flexibility and a positive attitude.
● Multi-discipline experience (structural, electrical, etc.) would be an asset.
